Jason Horne-Francis, Hugh Greenwood and Callum Coleman-Jones are set to become North Melbourne’s three newest Shinboners on Sunday afternoon, with the trio named in the side to face Hawthorn at the MCG.
The Kangaroos finalised their starting 22 on Friday, with Josh Walker coming out of the original squad due to AFL health and safety protocols.
Lachie Young has come into the final team for Walker and the emergencies for Sunday's game are Tom Powell, Charlie Lazzarro, Kyron Hayden and Eddie Ford.
David Noble confirmed No.1 pick Horne-Francis and Greenwood’s involvement in his press conference on Thursday, while Coleman-Jones comes into the side alongside fellow rucks Todd Goldstein and Tristan Xerri.
Aaron Hall and Jared Polec have both returned to fitness to take their places in the side, with Polec in particular impressing through this pre-season.
Polec returns to the side having shaken off an ankle knock picked up in the AAMI Community Series clash with Sydney after seeing his 2021 curtailed by repeat hamstring injuries.
Aidan Corr returns to the side for the first time since Round 2 last season, where he missed most of the season due to a toe infection.
