No.1 draft pick Jason Horne-Francis will make his AFL debut against Hawthorn in the North Melbourne Kangaroos' AFL season-opener on Sunday.
The 18-year-old was recruited from South Adelaide in the SANFL and was the Kangaroos' first No.1 draft pick in club history.
Horne-Francis has enjoyed a brilliant first pre-season at Arden Street, with highlights including an intraclub screamer and a cracking goal in the AAMI Community Series clash against Sydney.
He brings physical aggression to the Roos and the ability to dominate the middle of the park as well as push forward and impact the scoreboard.
In Thursday morning's team meeting senior coach David Noble also revealed Gold Coast midfield recruit Hugh Greenwood and former Richmond ruck/forward Callum Coleman-Jones would also make their Kangaroos debuts against the Hawks.
The Kangaroos' full squad will be revealed on Thursday night at 6.20pm AEDT.
