The first round of the 2021 NAB AFL Draft will begin at 7.10pm AEDT on Wednesday, November 24.
For the first time in its history, North Melbourne will be straight out of the blocks with the No.1 selection.
The rest of the national draft will be completed the following night on Thursday, November 25. On the Friday, November 26, the NAB AFL Pre-Season and Rookie Drafts will begin.
Between those drafts are opportunities for clubs to trade selections, upgrade rookies and recruit delisted free agents, and afterwards clubs must lodge their final lists with the AFL.

Thursday 25 November, 5.45pm - 6:30pm – Continental Tyres AFL Trade Period – Selections Only
Thursday 25 November, 7pm – Round 2 to completion - NAB AFL Draft Selection Meeting
Thursday 25 November, 10pm – Rookie Upgrade Period opens; AFL Delisted Player Free Agency Period (3) commences
Thursday 25 November, 11pm – Rookie Upgrade Period closes; AFL Delisted Player Free Agency Period (3) closes
Friday 26 November, 10am – AFL Club List Lodgement (3)
Friday 26 November, 12-12:30pm – Pre-Selected Rookies; NSW and Queensland Eligible Pre-Selected Rookie Player Nominations Lodged; Father-Son
