Big man Tristan Xerri will make his long-awaited North Melbourne return as the VFL team faces Coburg at Piranha Park on Sunday.

The ruck is among five inclusions along with club champion Ben Cunnington and fellow AFL-listed players Aaron Hall, Blake Drury and Jacob Edwards.

Xerri, 24, has not played at any level since undergoing surgery on his right ankle in March. He suffered a syndesmosis injury in the AFL team's Round 1 win over the West Coast Eagles.

Cunnington, 31, returns to the VFL this week after being named as emergency for last weekend's AFL match against Greater Western Sydney. 

VFL-listed players Sam Tucker, Alex Noblett, Ben Bath, Nick Hodgson and Cooper Keogh are the omissions from last week's thumping win over Greater Western Sydney.

Coburg Lions v North Melbourne at Piranha Park, 1.05pm AEST

Darcy Tucker and Aaron Hall starred as North Melbourne chalked up their fourth straight VFL win on Sunday, overrunning the Coburg Lions by 30 points at Piranha Park.

Tucker and Hall, who were dropped from the AFL team this weekend, made sure their names will be front and centre in front of the match committee when the AFL season resumes after the upcoming bye.

Tucker won a game-high 40 possessions while Hall collected 39 himself as the Kangaroos won 13.17 (95) to 9.11 (65).

Tucker gave the Roos a blistering start, kicking the first of his two goals after just 18 seconds.

Mid-season draftee Robert Hansen jnr kicked his second goal in as many weeks with an emphatic finish from the goal line to close out the first quarter, with the visitors 16 points to the good.

Inaccuracy plagued the Roos at the beginning of the second term with Tom Lynch's side registering five straight behinds before an eventual breakthrough came through Sam Lowson, who capped off a handball chain to extend the lead.

A major to VFL-listed small forward Jason McCormick saw North Melbourne create a 32-point, half-time buffer but it gradually vanished over the course of the third term, with Coburg slamming on five consecutive goals to put its nose in front with one quarter to play.

However, North Melbourne put the result beyond doubt with a seven-goal-to-two final term to continue its impressive winning streak.

Big man Tristan Xerri had 28 hitouts and 16 disposals in his long-awaited playing return after undergoing ankle surgery in March.

Flynn Perez (29 touches) was among the AFL-listed players to see plenty of the ball, along with Charlie Lazzaro (25), Kallan Dawson (24), Dan Howe (25, five clearances) and club champ Ben Cunnington (23, five clearances) while VFL-listed Ben Davis had 25 disposals.

Young gun Cooper Harvey kicked two of the fourth-quarter goals, finishing with 2.4 for the day to go with 11 touches, six tackles and five marks.

Captain Jack Watkins continued his standout season, amassing 23 disposals and nine inside 50s.

The Kangaroos have a bye in Round 14 before hosting Williamstown at Arden Street in Round 15 on Sunday, July 2.
