Robbie Tarrant - Long goal

The ball is in dispute around the 50 when Matt Campbell gathers. Turning out wide, he hits Tarrant in space. The key forward spins around onto his right foot and kicks truly off just two steps from way beyond the arc.

Drew Petrie - Chasedown

As Will Schofield gathers the ball on the half-back line, all he sees is space ahead. He takes one bounce and then feels Petrie closing rapidly. The extra pressure forces the Eagles’ defender to run a few extra metres to try and shake the North co-vice captain, but it doesn't work.

Forced to take a bounce at the exact same time Petrie lays a hand on him, Schofield gives North the free for holding the ball.

Brent Harvey - Checkside goal

Approaching the final stages of the last quarter, North is leading by just a point as Daniel Wells makes his way down the wing. Drawing an opponent as he enters the forward 50, Wells handballs over the top to Harvey who close to the boundary.

Harvey shrugs the tackle of Jacob Brennan and then from a tight angle makes no mistake with the checkside goal as more Eagles pressure was applied.

Robbie Tarrant - Late goal

After West Coast takes the lead, North goes forward with a little more than four minutes to go. Leigh Adams finds Tarrant on a tight angle, 45 metres out.

From the wrong side of the ground for a right-footer, Tarrant calmly goes back and puts it right through the middle for his fourth goal of the afternoon.

Nathan Grima - Spoils

A supreme defensive effort from Grima yielded an incredible nine spoils as he repeatedly repelled West Coast’s attacks.

It didn't matter which Eagles forward Grima found himself matched up against. His performance reinforced his standing as one of North's best key defenders and most valuable players.
