Round 1 of the 2022 VFL season has been announced, with North Melbourne set to host Williamstown at Arden Street in the first week of the season.

Scheduled for March 27th, the game is set to kick off at 4:05pm AEDT.

This year’s VFL competition will consist of 21 teams playing 18 games in a 22 round home-and-away season, culminating in a four week long finals campaign for the top eight sides.

The competition has reduced from last year’s 22 team season, with Aspley not renewing their licence ahead of the upcoming campaign.

North had put together a strong run of form before the cancellation of last year’s VFL season, winning four of its last five games.

Matchups have been released for every round of the season, however dates and times are yet to be released for any game other than Round 1.
