Todd Goldstein’s reputation as one of the best ruckmen in the game has been backed up by his peers.
The annual AFL players’ top 50 survey has seen Goldstein named as the highest ranking Roo to date, and the 23rd best player in the competition.
Goldstein is the first Roo revealed in the AFL players’ top 50, and it’s the second consecutive year he’s been inside the top 25.
The 28-year-old holds the all-time record for most hit-outs in a season, and has four of the five highest tallies in North’s history.
Goldstein is expected to shoulder the majority of the ruck duties in 2017 and will no doubt be a critical part of North’s best 22.
The top 20 will be revealed on AFL.com.au in the coming days.
