Ben Brown knows the Tigers are riding high after three consecutive wins, but believes North will return to the winners list on Friday night.
After losing their first game of the year last week, the key forward is confident North has what it takes to win its tenth game and remain outright leaders on the ladder.
“We would have been doing pretty well to go 22-0 for the season, so the loss was probably going to come at some point,” Brown told the Herald Sun.
“We can take a bit of solace out of the fact that we were close for long periods of the game and probably got blown out by a few goals at the end.
“We don’t think we were at our best. Sydney are a very good side and are probably the form side of the competition at the moment, so we knew it was going to be a tough gig.”
The club will be making history in Hobart, with the first Friday night game at its home away from home.
“You want to come back and get a win. We’re trying to make Tassie a bit of a fortress at Blundstone Arena and we’re really keen to get down there,” Brown said.
Brown managed just one goal against the Swans, while fellow forwards Drew Petrie and Jarrad Waite went goalless.
The 23-year-old admitted the Swans’ defenders won the day and knows Richmond’s backline can be just as hard to score against.
“We all know what Alex Rance and the guys from Richmond are capable of doing, so it’s another tough test for us this weekend, but we back ourselves in,” said Brown.
“We always back Drew in every week and if he has a down game, he’s more than likely to come out and play really well the next week.”
