Glenn Archer has backed North to finish in the top four in 2015 after a strong finals campaign last year.
The club champion believes the Kangaroos are in a strong position following the growth of several players and the acquisition of the likes of Jarrad Waite, Shaun Higgins and Nick Dal Santo.
North finished in sixth position after the home and away season in 2014, and missed out on the Grand Final after a disappointing loss to the Swans in the preliminary final.
But what the former defender is most excited about watching may come as a surprise.
"If Kayne Turner can add some weight to his frame and continue to attack the footy the way he did last year, then I reckon he'll buck the trend that says second year players struggle and fade out a bit," Archer said.
"I loved watching the way he went about it last season and I reckon he could be a standout and take his game to the next level."
After completing a special NMFC.com.au past player survey, Archer highlighted Todd Goldtein as North's most important player and feels Ryan Bastinac, Sam Wright and Majak Daw also need to have an impact on the field for the club to continue to prosper.
