Johannisen missed the win over St Kilda due to a calf injury, but is expected to be in the mix for a return.
“JJ (Johannisen) tightened up in the calf during the week, and we decided not to take a risk with that, so he had the weekend off,” Bulldogs' Medical Services Manager Andrew McKenzie told the club's website.
“...but we expect him to return to the training group this week, and we’ll assess him.”
Fellow backman Easton Wood was Johannisen's replacement against the Saints, but is set to miss the rest of the season after sustaining a broken hand against the Saints.
