Current team

Rucks: Todd Goldstein, Aaron Sandilands
Forwards: Patrick Dangerfield, Brent Harvey, Lance Franklin, Jack Gunston

With Todd Goldstein and Aaron Sandilands locked in, we have the makings of a stable ruck division. However it’s always good to have at least one playing backup option, in the event of a late withdrawal or injury.

A smart play in fantasy leagues is to ‘handcuff’ a player. This involves selecting the player who is the real-life backup to your gun fantasy player.

For example, Todd Goldstein’s handcuff would be Dan Currie – if Goldstein misses a game, there’s a good chance that North will look to Currie.

For Aaron Sandilands, the only handcuff option in the rookie category is Jack Hannath, who has been confirmed as a starter this week for the Dockers.

There are one or two other options in this group, who are risky but won’t take up much of the salary cap.
